Daily Bookkeeping

Every business has to maintain proper financial records to ascertain its true cash position and profitability. Regular and prompt bookkeeping helps firms to identify areas that generate value

  • Staying aware of incoming and outgoing payments
  • Proper invoice management
  • Receivables and Payables Management
  • Payroll Management
  • VAT/Sales Tax returns

Setting up Xero/Quickbooks

We encourage all our clients to ‘go digital’ by helping them get set-up on leading accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks and Wave. All you need to do is fill-up a form and we will get you a set up.

Monthly Financial Statements

Financial statements are essential in order to understand the financial health of your company. Every business needs to have proper and orderly statements in order to identify things that are working for them and things that aren’t! We produce statements for you on a monthly basis in a nice and professional format. We make sure to add an explanatory ‘dashboard’ to the statements that acts as a snapshot of the statement highlighting key metrics that need your attention.

Accounts Receivable Management

Irregular and delayed client payments is an annoying, yet a very common occurrence. Some of them even end up as bad debts. A simple solution is to have a solid and systematic payment plan for the customer in conjunction with a robust receivables management system. This entails setting clear credit policies, sending invoices in a timely manner, offering rebates/discounts, consistent tracking of overdue payments, etc. We offer assistance by regularly following up with clients and you on receivables and preparing ‘Aged Receivables Reports’ that clearly demonstrate the amount pending from clients and also for how long they have been outstanding.

Accounts Payable Management

Paying your suppliers and vendors in a timely manner is crucial for your business in order to maintain a true cash position, positive credit rating/standing and a lasting relationship with these suppliers. We review purchase orders, vendor reports, invoices and other agreements to stay on top of your payables and send you timely reminders as and when these become due. We prepare ‘Payables Reports’ that clearly demonstrate the amount outstanding to different supplier/vendors and also the time in which they become due.

Virtual CFO Support

We provide on-going support to tackle finance-related challenges (like KPI/metrics, FP&A, fundraising, growth planning and budgeting) that further help in decision-making.
As your interim CFO, we become an integral part of your team and put that knowledge to work for you. We provide several key functions:

Leadership & support

We provide your start-up with a support structure and direction that is needed in the initial stages in order to align the company’s finance to the founders’ overall objectives.

Financial discipline

As interim CFO, we help you set the right financial tone for your company ensuring current and any future investment is used efficiently.

Financial planning & analysis

We provide accurate, timely, high quality financial analysis and advice to decision-makers and link the strategy of your company to the operating and capital budget.

Modeling & forecasting

We construct a working model of how your business should perform financially if certain strategies are executed and milestones are reached. This model is based on three scenarios: pessimistic, normal and optimistic.

Financial reporting & dashboards

By designing and producing reports and dashboards, we make apparent the actual financial operation and health of the business as measured against the forecasts and budgets.

M&A support

For startups, a merger or acquisition represents the exit strategy. Our M&A advisory team works with clients throughout the deal lifecycle and have developed relationships with large corporations that are always looking to invest in profitable startups.

Best practices

One of the biggest advantages of interim CFO is the varied experience and industry contacts that come from working with multiple startups and industries. We see trends, what works, and what doesn’t. This allows us to continuously bring proven practices to your startup and leverage from our extensive experience.

Account Reconciliation is a process in which a company’s internal financial records are compared against the other external sources like credit cards, banks, and several other financial institutions. The objective is to identify the fraud or error in reporting financial transactions in order to improve the financial health of the business which is something we do for almost all our clients!

We appreciate how time sensitive it is to ensure that your employees get paid on time. Fortunately, when you work with ONSBooks, all you have to do is set-up an account with us we do the rest! From actually calculating salaries to generating payslips with the added bonus – we have everything covered.

Year End Filing

Once you appoint us as your bookkeepers, we take all your headaches away (well, almost all)! For example, every business in the UK needs to prepare their complete accounts for HMRC and Companies House one year at a time. The ‘year-end’ refers to the day that your company’s financial period ends. From getting your records in order right through to producing your actual tax return, we take care of everything.

Financial Modeling & Analysis

Our financial analysts help companies by building strong and robust financial models based in Excel that can in turn help them make critical decisions. We make extra effort to build models that are easy to understand and use, reliable and of course are relevant to the business model. However, we do make models based on programming languages, mostly Python, to build more complex non-traditional models that cannot be built in Excel.
